I have now seen my top three favorite bands live. Well, I guess I have.
King bailed on me Sunday night, telling me that his mom forgot to tell him he had a dentist appointment, and blah blah blah. It didn’t affect me too much, I was pissed off because I really wanted to hang out with him, but that’s what you get! I went with Melissa instead, and we had a blast.
Before the concert I wanted to jump up and down and screech “I’M GOING TO QUEEN!” repeatedly, but if I did that I’m sure everyone would look at me oddly, so I did it in my head. The concert started and it was AWESOME, I felt like my life was complete just after the first song. I was finally being able to fulfill one of my lifelong dreams (but not entirely). They didn’t play some of my favorite songs such as “Somebody to Love” and “Seven Seas of Rhye” most likely because they played Bad Company songs, since Paul Rodgers (lead singer of Bad Company) was taking Freddie’s place as lead singer. But oh well, it was great anyway! When “Bohemian Rhapsody” came on I started SCREAMING, because that is my most favorite song in the whole WIDE world. It took me a minute to realize that they weren’t actually playing it, that it was an old live concert with FREDDIE! I was syked! They started to play at the point where it gets fast... and then faster... and they were showing clips of Freddie. And it was brilliant. Just... brilliant.
After the concert we took the max to where Melissa’s mom was going to pick us up, and it was packed, and we also had a crappy max driver (maybe they kept dozing off?) either way, the cute guy standing next to me kept falling into me, it was fun.
Now all I need to do is book a flight to Europe in a few years, fall in love, somehow find a way to go back in time so I can MEET Freddie Mercury, or bring him back from the grave, and I’m SET. :D
